Alison began her career in various practice areas included litigation, criminal law, and wills and estates, before specialising exclusively in family law. During her time in family law, Alison was appointed by Victoria Legal Aid as an Independent Children's Lawyer, representing children in contentious family law disputes. This role honed her ability to navigate sensitive and complex matters with empathy, precision, and a child-centred focus.
After enjoying time at home with her young family, Alison returned to Whyte Just & Moore, initially taking on the roles of Practice Manager and Cost Consultant. These positions allowed her to contribute to the operational and financial management of the firm while maintaining her connection to the legal profession.
Her depth of experience and ability to cut through legal jargon ensures that her clients feel supported and empowered throughout the process.
Alison is actively engaged in her community, serving on the Barwon Health Human Research and Ethics Committee and chairing the school advisory board at her son's primary school. She previously held the position of Treasurer for the Geelong Law Association and volunteered at the Barwon Community Legal Service for over a decade. These roles reflect her commitment to ethical standards and community service, enhancing her capacity to offer compassionate and informed legal counsel to her clients.
