Reflecting on 2024 at WJM Lawyers
As 2024 draws to a close, we take pride in reflecting on a year of growth, success, and meaningful contributions to the Geelong community. At WJM Lawyers, this year has been defined by exciting changes, impactful partnerships, and exceptional client outcomes.
From moving into our new office to welcoming talented new team members and deepening our involvement in community initiatives, 2024 has been a year of progress and connection. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our clients, staff, and partners for their unwavering support. Together, we have achieved so much, and we’re thrilled to share the highlights with you.
Celebrating Achievements
This year was filled with many milestones that reflect our commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. We achieved excellent results for our clients across a variety of legal matters, reaffirming our dedication to providing practical and effective solutions.
One of the most exciting developments of the year was our relocation to Level 2, 100 Brougham Street, Geelong, from our previous office at 27 Malop Street. This modern, accessible space reflects our dedication to creating a welcoming environment for our clients and fostering collaboration within our team. The move represents an exciting new chapter for WJM Lawyers, setting the stage for continued growth.
Strengthening Community and Client Connections
Our success this year is deeply tied to the community we serve. We are proud to have supported various initiatives that enrich the Geelong region, foster inclusivity, and strengthen local culture.
Being part of the prestigious Geelong Arts Centre Glitterati Platinum Club was one of the highlights of 2024. This partnership provides access to world-class performances and exclusive VIP events while supporting initiatives like the Creative Engine, which nurtures emerging artists in the G21 Region. Supporting the arts aligns perfectly with our values of fostering meaningful connections and celebrating creativity.
As proud sponsors of the 2024 Royal Geelong Show, we supported an event that brings the country to the city, celebrating Geelong’s agricultural heritage with four days of competition, education, and entertainment. Our partnership with the GLA Charity Golf Day also made a meaningful impact, with proceeds going to the Lazarus Community Centre to support individuals experiencing homelessness and social isolation.
Inclusivity has always been at the heart of WJM Lawyers, and we were honoured to sponsor the genU Workplace Big Day Out. This event brought people with disabilities and business volunteers together for a day of connection in a supported environment.
Our partnership with the Geelong Chamber Music Society (GCMS) also made 2024 memorable. Supporting their mission to bring exceptional music to the region, we helped sustain initiatives like the Australian Youth Classical Music Competition, fostering opportunities for emerging talent and enriching Geelong’s cultural life.
Welcoming New Faces to WJM Lawyers
This year, we welcomed Henry McIntosh, Nelly Hineman, Jemma McInnes, Liam Arbanovski, and most recently, Ngawai Taiawa, to the firm. Each brings unique skills and expertise to their roles.

These additions reflect our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding client service and maintaining a collaborative, expert team.
Enhancements and Innovations
Our relocation to Level 2, 100 Brougham Street, Geelong, was more than a physical move—it transformed our operations. The new office offers a modern, client-friendly space that enhances efficiency, collaboration, and the overall experience for our clients.
This year, we also introduced new initiatives to refine the client experience. This included expanding virtual consultation options and streamlining communication tools. These efforts ensure that our clients continue to receive the personalised, practical advice they deserve.
Looking to the Future
As we approach 2025, we are excited to build on the achievements of 2024. One of our key goals is to expand our team further by expanding our new office to support growth and welcome talented professionals to better serve our clients.
We remain deeply committed to our community partnerships. This includes the Geelong Arts Centre, genU, and GCMS, as we continue strengthening our ties to the region we serve. Our vision for 2025 is to deliver exceptional legal services in a collaborative, client-focused environment, benefiting our team and community.
