Will was admitted to practice in 2012 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (International Relations major) at Deakin University in 2009.
Before joining us Will worked at a mid-tier firm as part of the dispute resolution practice and gained experience in a wide range of commercial disputes. He became a Principal on 1 July 2017 and has a particular interest in insolvency and bankruptcy. Will successfully completed his Advanced Certification in Insolvency with the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA) in 2017.
Will’s key practice areas include:
Dispute Resolution
- contractual disputes;
- insolvency and bankruptcy;
- property disputes;
- trust disputes;
- debt recovery;
- retail leasing and commercial tenancy disputes; and
- building and construction disputes.
in addition to acting on behalf of councils in relation to building and other prosecutions.
Will is also developing his practice to include:
Business Law
- sale and purchase of businesses;
- drafting terms and conditions;
- drafting general business agreements;
- retail and commercial leasing; and
- general trust documents.
Will is also a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Geelong Law Association. Will has experience in conducting civil trials at all levels of Victorian Courts, VCAT and the Federal Court of Australia.
Will is on the board of the Geelong Industry Trade Training Centre (GITTC) which is a collective of secondary schools offering high quality industry training for employment pathways and wider career options for secondary students. He joined the board of the GITTC in 2015.
In 2014 Will and his wife spent a year overseas volunteering and travelling through Africa, Europe and back home to Samoa. Outside of work interests include travelling, going to the movies and playing basketball/netball.
