Alison graduated from Deakin University in 1998 with an Honours Degree in Law and a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, majoring in Economics. Alison was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia in 1999 and subsequently commenced employment at WJM in February 2000.
Alison’s areas of practice initially included litigation, wills and estates and criminal law, before practising exclusively in family law for several years. During that time, Alison was appointed by Victoria Legal Aid to act as an Independent Children’s Lawyer and represented many children in contentious family law disputes.
After enjoying some time at home with her young family, Alison returned to WJM as the Practice Manager and Cost Consultant. In addition to these roles, Alison now practises in the area of Wills and Estates.
For more than a decade Alison was a regular volunteer at the Barwon Legal Service, an active member of the Geelong Law Association and the Treasurer of the Association for a number of years. Alison is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
Alison’s interests outside of work include spending time with her family, reading and the beach.
