ADAM WIGHTMAN

Senior Lawyer & Head of the Family Law Department

Calm and compassionate, Adam is a Senior Lawyer and Whyte, Just & Moore’s Head of the Family Law Department. With both a Bachelor of Lawyers and a Bachelor of Arts, Adam could just as easily have been a journalist, covering international relations, but the legal profession was his calling, and over the years hundreds of clients have benefited from Adam’s considerable experience and down-to-earth counsel. When Adam works with his clients he strives to negotiate and finalise peaceful, acceptable resolutions as quickly and with as little stress as possible. Given the sensitive and deeply personal nature of many Family Law cases, pragmatic support and clear guidance, combined with integrity and understanding, are the keystones to Adam’s work.

Beyond the office, Adam is kept (very!) busy raising three beautiful children with his wife, who is also a lawyer, volunteering at the Barwon Community Legal Service and working in his recently established garden. You may see him pounding the pavement of a morning, but he is equally comfortable on the couch in the evening, watching reruns of The Office (the UK or the US version – he doesn’t mind).
